Who we are

mitemite unnecessary objects lab is a young, innovative and free brand which re-designs everyday objects in order to make our routines easier, funnier and, above all, a little bit different.

Founded in Barcelona in November 2008, mitemite gives a double take to objects, adding a large dose of optimism and irony, spreading a few more chuckles in a somewhat mundane reality. For mitemite, nothing is as it seems or looks like what it really is. Mite mite, meaning ‘look look’ in Japanese.

mitemite performs as a free and witty design studio, based on creative freedom and experimenting with the unnecessary. mitemite is a young design laboratory, an adventure to share.

Our story

mitemite was founded by Anna Marti, Industrial and Interior Designer from Barcelona. Trained in Barcelona, Taiwan and London at Central Saint Martin’s, she has worked as a designer and art director in several European countries and in Asia.

Anna and her team are constantly producing new ideas from their lab, bringing them to life and sending them around the world.

mitemite’s looks to reach those who do not buy for the sake of it, but those who seek to be different and original.
